Our Mission

Mission Statement

To gather and make available resources with the goal of creating a supportive, positive space and to be responsive to the dynamic needs of the queer communities.

Goals and Objectives

1. To provide resources to the LGBTTTSIQQ community of Guelph through a variety of LGBTTTSIQQ-focused educational materials, fiction and non-fiction books, videos and music resources, of which can be accessed within the library and borrowed for at-home use.

2. To house resources that represent the diversity of the LGBTTTSIQQ community including, but not limited to, resources focusing on the intersection of LGBTTTSIQQ issues and those of race, ability and age.

3. To educate members of the LGBTTTSIQQ community, and the larger Guelph community, on LGBTTTSIQQ issues, history and culture, as well as combating homophobia.

4. To create a venue where LGBTTTSIQQ-related events can be held- such as author readings, poetry nights and film screenings.

5. To maintain a public space where the LGBTTTSIQQ community in Guelph can gather and hold meetings for related projects.

6. To exist as a focal point of the Guelph LGBTTTSIQQ community where new residents or people in search of more information on LGBTTTSIQQ services or resources in the Guelph can be assisted.
